Male Cancers

If your testicular or prostate cancer has been misdiagnosed or there has been a delay in treatment, you may be able to claim compensation due to the doctors’ negligent care. We can help you or your loved one understand what went wrong.

Prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in males but has the best survival rates of all common male cancers. But that depends on early detection, correct surveillance and treatment.

If you or a loved one has suffered a delay in diagnosis and treatment, it may have led to life changing injuries, or sadly, caused their death.

Doctors should be aware of common symptoms of prostate cancer so that it can be treated early. Symptoms such like:

  • frequent urges to urinate, including at night
  • difficulty commencing and maintaining urination
  • blood in the urine
  • painful urination and, less commonly, ejaculation
  • difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection may be difficult

We can often obtain compensation if there was a failure to recognise these symptoms and refer to a specialist; a failure to perform the correct tests; a failure to interpret the test results or examine properly; or a failure to provide the right treatment.

We are specialist lawyers who understand the effects of negligent prostate cancer care can be difficult to discuss but we are experts that you can trust to give you the best possible advice and make you feel at ease..

Testicular cancer

Testicular cancer is rare but most common in men in their early 30s. Nearly all men survive testicular cancer but that depends on early treatment and diagnosis.

Testicular cancer should be suspected by a doctor if you have a lump or pain or aching of your testicle or a heaviness in the scrotal area.

If you or a loved one has suffered a delay in diagnosis and treatment, it may have led to surgery to remove the testicle (orchidectomy) and the need for chemotherapy or radiotherapy, which may have affected your fertility. Sadly, a delay may have caused the death of a loved one.

We can often obtain compensation if there was a failure to recognise the symptoms of testicular cancer and refer to a specialist; a failure to perform the correct tests; a failure to interpret the test results or examine properly; or a failure to provide the right treatment.

We are specialist lawyers who understand that the effects of negligent testicular cancer care can be difficult to discuss but we are experts that you can trust to deal with your case sensitively and make you feel at ease.

Why bring a claim?

We want to help you and your family get the answers that you need to understand what went wrong with your medical treatment. We can help you to obtain compensation for treatment, care and loss of earnings, as well as any other losses caused as a result of your injuries or the death of a loved one. We can help ensure that this does not happen to someone else or another family.

How we can help?

We are committed to getting the best possible outcome for you or your loved one when you have been let down by your doctors.

No amount of money is ever going to change the negligent medical treatment that you have received or bring back a loved one that has passed away due to substandard care, but we can help ease some of the financial burdens by obtaining compensation, access cancer specialists for treatment advice, investigate the claim to help you understand what happened, hold individual clinicians to account and raise standards so that no one else has to go through what has happened to you.
