As part of continued commitment to support charities that provide equipment for children living with mobility restrictions, we are proud to announce our ongoing support for Designability and their Wizzybug Loan Scheme. These innovative wheelchairs bring much freedom and joy to those who need it.

We have donated funds which will enable the continued provision of Wizzybug chairs making them more available to the families that need them.

For pre-school children who are at least 14 months and a maximum weight of 20kg.

Can be used outdoors and indoors, including “off-road” for children to experience movement, independence and play.

Flexible seating with postural support which can be easily adjusted as the child grows.

Open to all families across the UK, including NI and fully funded by donations to provide all Wizzybugs for free.

Who is Wizzybug Designed For?

Wizzybug is designed for physically disabled children. This includes children living with cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, spina bifida or muscular dystrophy, as well as children with amputations.

Wizzybugs exist to help children with any condition or developmental delay which affects their ability to walk, including those who do not yet have a diagnosis.

Wizzybug is intended for pre-school children of minimum age 14 months and a maximum weight of 20 kg.

The Wizzybug Loan Scheme provides families with a Wizzybug for as long as they need. Once the child has outgrown their Wizzybug it is returned and refurbished ready for the next family.

How can Wizzybug be used?

The Wizzybug is a fun powered wheelchair for very young disabled children. Wizzybug is available completely free of charge to any family within the UK, and allows the child to move and explore independently.

Wizzybug is a powered wheelchair for indoor and outdoor use, with adult supervision. Children use Wizzybugs at home and at pre-school, and in outdoor spaces such as parks, gardens and playgrounds.

Wizzybug can be used every day or just occasionally, but is not intended to be used all day, every day.
