The Super Hero

Pete Lloyd, otherwise known as #Petebones is taking part in the challenge again after his amazing success in the summer! He will be completing the challenge using 3 different #supherhero methods: walking with a prosthetic or crutching, using his day wheelchair and using his racing wheelchair – go Pete!

Chosen Charity

Pete took up wheelchair racing in 2018 to raise awareness for Bone Cancer Research Trust, racing with Stockport Wheelchair Racing.

Super Power

#SuperDetermination. Pete was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in his left femur in 2012 and in 2017, he became a full left leg amputee. Despite this, his determination remains high and pushes him to take part in challenges like these!

Sidekick

Pete will be joined by 3 sidekicks – his #Supherhero children: Joshua aged 13, Lilli aged 11 and Annabelle aged 6.

World Team

Pete has been assigned to team Spiderman JJ Chalmers for the around the world challenge and is excited to be a part of the team!

Motivation

Pete has said that he has been keen to get involved with another at home challenge as there has not been any track or road events this year. He says that “virtual events like this are fun, different and a great opportunity”

We are thrilled that you are joining us and we will be supporting you all the way #Petebones
