The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity

Life after a brain injury can feel very overwhelming. If you or a loved one has suffered a life-altering brain injury, The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity can provide vital support and actively improve the quality of life for those affected.

Rebuilding lives after a brain injury is often filled with numerous challenges. Whether this is cognitive, or physically based challenges, it can be extremely difficult for those learning to adapt to everyday life again.

The Silverlining Charity aims to provide answers, outlets and support, assuring everyone affected that they can still achieve their goals with purpose.

The charity primarily works by engaging with the wider community to provide support, rehabilitation and activities that are accessible to all.

These events are hosted and run by volunteers that not only offer medical benefits, but also help participants to gain a sense of pride and fulfilment in their lives.

Silverlining also seeks to erase stigma surrounding quality of life after a brain injury, by hosting informative and educational events for professionals, discussing issues, legal or otherwise, that are relevant to brain injury.

They offer free membership. By signing up to become a ‘Silverliner’, members are notified of events and activities in their local area.

There are also many volunteering opportunities for people who want to get involved.

Working with CL Medilaw

We have joined forces with The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity as an affiliated solicitor firm.

One of our Partners, Kim Chamberlain, who has worked with the charity for many years says:

Kim Chamberlain

“The Silverlining community is an invaluable support network and so much more. It is full of energy, positivity and opportunity for members and their families.

There are friendships formed, life experiences thought impossible at times and so much laughter.

The co-ordinators and volunteers work tirelessly to make this happen and allow their members and their families to look forward, breaking boundaries and achieving their goals.

Members have access to a wealth of information and professional support, but also life experiences such as ski trips, climbing, surfing and rowing to name just a handful of activities that are planned and made to happen.

I have personally found it so rewarding to be part of this community. The social connection and health and wellbeing are a fundamental need for all of us and The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity enhances quality of life following brain injury.”
