On Saturday 21st September, a team from CL Medilaw, comprising of Tim Dennis, Sammiya Ulahq, Tom Iannaccone, Caitlin McManus and Mya Wheatley, trekked to the summit of Snowdon, raising money for Birmingham based charity NICE – Centre for Movement Disorders.

The journey was both challenging and rewarding, with each member displaying remarkable determination as they made their way through Snowdonia National Park. Led by a team of instructors and joined by other supporters of NICE, our team made it there and back in an exceptional 7 hours. Encountering the best of the Welsh countryside (and wildlife), it was a great challenge with the aim of raising £1000 for the charity.

Although the journey started sunny, as they ascended, our team found themselves amongst the clouds. Despite the weather, the team made it to the summit in one piece, if slightly soggy, before returning back down the mountain.

The money raised by our team will go directly towards NICE and the families they support, funding training for specialised conductors as well as equipment and therapy for their users. Our efforts are part of our continued support for NICE’s Milestone Club, which is dedicated to supporting children under the age of two, regardless of their diagnosis, to achieve important neurological and developmental milestones through specially designed sessions.

Congratulations to all the participants who took part. Their dedication and hard work reinforced our commitment to changing the lives of individuals impacted by neurological or brain injuries due to medical negligence or accidents.

Mya Wheatley

"It was such an enjoyable climb – very much helped by the rain holding off on the way up! What added to the enjoyment even more was knowing that we were walking for such an amazing cause, I felt really proud to be supporting NICE."

Tim Dennis

“In taking the long way up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) the team really challenged ourselves and we managed to all complete it with a great attitude shown by all the team. Unfortunately our efforts were rewarded by heavy clouds at the top but it was a pleasure to complete the walk knowing we had raised money for a great charity.”
