Miss X, child, was involved in a high-speed road traffic accident on a motorway in France. She suffered a severe brain injury, among other injuries.
Miss X and her family were living in the UK at the time of the accident but subsequently moved to the Netherlands, and then later to France.
Whilst living in the Netherlands, our team of specialist solicitors assisted in securing a case manager for the family to support Miss X’s rehabilitation and care.
The case managers do not exist in the same capacity in France, which was a challenge for Miss X and her family. So, we were able to help resolve this issue by identifying a suitably trained individual who would be able to support Miss X’s needs, which we were able to fund alongside private treatment and several adaptations to the new family home.

We worked with the family and Miss X’s support team throughout the claim and were able to secure regular six-figure interim payments.
We were able to secure a settlement with the value of £15 million, which was approved by the High Court.
Our priority was to ensure Miss X’s rehabilitation needs were met and that she and her family received all the help and support they needed. The damages obtained will support Miss X’s ongoing care and living costs.
