It was a NICE day to abseil for charity
Last weekend, five brave members of the CL Medilaw team from our Lincoln office took part in a sponsored charity abseil down Birmingham’s Millennium Point, raising a whopping £580 for NICE – Centre for Movement Disorders.
Andrew, Georgia, Kelly, Leonie and Keely reached new heights last Saturday, bravely abseiling down the iconic landmark, in aid of NICE – Centre for Movement Disorders.
NICE, based in Birmingham, assists children with developmental delays and various other neurological or physical conditions.
One of their initiatives, sponsored by us, is the Milestone Group, a program for children aged 0 to 2 years old, emphasising early intervention for developmental delays.
Additionally, the facility includes a conductive education centre and a school for children with neurological conditions, led by specialised conductors, dedicated to enabling every child to achieve their maximum potential regardless of their disability.
Nerve wracking enjoyment
The day consisted of a handful other volunteers all nervously waiting to take on the challenge. Despite this, team CL Medilaw were not afraid to get involved and successfully made their way down the building, all while being cheered on from below.
The day was incredibly inspiring, being able to talk to the NICE team about the work they do and how the money raised will help with their valuable work.
We were delighted to be part of the NICE Heights Challenge raising money to enable their important work to continue. The day was both exciting and nerve racking, but after speaking to the team at NICE it made all the hard work worth it!
