Kyle and Nicola, two of CL Medilaw’s superheroes, have now completed their challenge and what a fantastic job they have done. We recently caught up with them and here is what they had to say:
“We had a really great time competing in the At Home Superhero Challenge and we both found taking part so much fun. It gave us both a reason to get out and explore during a time when things are a little less normal than usual!”
The furthest distance travelled in one day was 31.3km by Nicola who set herself the target of cycling through 4 counties in one day! She managed to cycle through Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and then Berkshire. Kyle also enjoyed lots of walks to the park in his walker.
Nicola and Kyle were raising money for Yellow Submarine. This is an Oxfordshire based charity that assists people with learning disabilities and autism to build their social skills, confidence, independence and ultimately their employability. They also support their families and carers by providing periods of respite.
Nicola and Kyle have managed to raise a fantastic £220. Yellow Submarine have supported Kyle for the past 10 years and the money rasied will help so many children with learning disabilities and autism live life to the full for many more years to come!
