Case Highlights
Kim’s case highlights include:
- Securing a £2.85 million settlement (BBA v DEF) before the expiry of the three-year limitation period and without the need to issue proceedings, following a road traffic accident resulting in catastrophic injuries. The clients had established a fledging business just eight months prior to the accident.
- Achieving a £5.5 million settlement (AD v CF) on behalf of a minor who sustained severe brain injury while competing in power boating, involving multiple defendants, an unincorporated association and its regulatory body.
- Successfully taking over a complex claim and securing a final award of just under £10 million, five times higher than the offer made by the previous firm, while overturning deductions for contributory negligence and causation so that the client recovered 100% of their compensation.
- Obtaining a £3.3 million settlement for a motorcyclist who sustained catastrophic orthopaedic injuries, comprising a lump sum and periodical payments of £125,000 per annum, to meet lifelong care, rehabilitation, accommodation and loss of earnings needs.
