Case Highlights

Jason’s case highlights include:

  • A road traffic accident claim involving a young child who tragically sustained a catastrophic brain injury. Working collaboratively with the defendant’s insurers, the team secured interim payments in excess of £3 million. These funds enabled the client and their family to relocate and extensively adapt their home to meet the child’s needs, including the provision of a school room, treatment room and hydrotherapy pool. The claim ultimately settled for a capitalised sum approaching £20 million.
  • A road traffic accident claim involving a teenager who sustained a serious brain injury. Jason assisted in arranging the instruction of a case manager to coordinate and deliver the client’s rehabilitation. The claim settled for a sum approaching £10 million, providing lifelong support for the client.
  • A road traffic accident involving a motorcyclist who suffered a below-knee amputation and paralysis from the waist down as a result of a spinal cord injury. Interim payments were secured to facilitate the adaptation of the client’s family home to meet his complex needs. The claim settled for a sum in excess of £10 million and the legal team was commended by instructed counsel for its attention to detail and for achieving settlement within a relatively short timeframe.
  • A Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority claim on behalf of a victim of violent crime who sustained a quadruple amputation. The team successfully secured the maximum CICA award of £500,000 for the client.
