Female Cancers

We are specialists in cases of delayed or misdiagnosis of female cancers including breast, cervical and ovarian cancers.

Breast cancer

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in females but has the best survival rates of all cancers. But that depends on early detection and treatment.

If you or a loved one has suffered a delay in diagnosis and treatment, it may have led to life changing injuries such as mastectomy, lumpectomy and reconstructive surgery. You may also have required unnecessary chemotherapy and radiotherapy. It may have affected your life expectancy or sadly, caused the death of a loved one.

Doctors should be aware of common symptoms of breast cancer so that it can be treated early. Symptoms such like a breast lump, change in size, feel or shape of the breast, pain, skin changes, changes in the nipple or discharge.

We can often obtain compensation if there was a failure to recognise the symptoms of breast cancer and refer to a specialist; a failure to perform the correct tests; a failure to interpret the test results properly; or a failure to provide the right treatment.

Cervical cancer

Cervical cancer screening is very effective in diagnosing early stage cancer, allowing treatment to take place to prevent the cancer from advancing.

But this depends on correct interpretation of the cervical smear test. If the smear test is not properly reported or your symptoms of cervical cancer, such as bleeding between periods, during or after sex, or after menopause are not properly recognised and investigated, it can lead to devastating injuries such as removal of the cervix (radical trachelectomy) or womb (hysterectomy). It may mean that you require chemotherapy or radiotherapy. It may have affected your life expectancy or fertility or sadly, caused the death of a loved one.

We can help you or a loved one bring a claim for compensation if there was a failure to recognise the symptoms of cervical cancer and refer to a specialist; a failure to perform the correct tests; a failure to interpret the smear test properly; or a failure to provide the right treatment.

Ovarian cancer

Ovarian cancer symptoms are often difficult to diagnose and sometimes cannot be detected until the cancer has advanced. That is why it is important for a referral to be made quickly as soon as ovarian cancer is suspected.

Symptoms of ovarian cancer can include bloating, feeling full quickly, abdominal pain and loss of appetite.

We can help you bring a claim for compensation if there was a failure to recognise the symptoms of ovarian cancer and refer to a specialist; a failure to perform the correct tests; a failure to interpret the tests results/scans properly; or a failure to provide the right treatment.

Why bring a claim?

We want to help you and your family get the answers that you need to understand what went wrong with your medical treatment. We can help you to obtain compensation for treatment, care and loss of earnings, as well as any other losses caused as a result of your injuries or the death of a loved one. We can help ensure that this does not happen to someone else or another family.

How we can help?

We are committed to getting the best possible outcome for you or your loved one when you have been let down by your doctors.

No amount of money is ever going to change the negligent medical treatment that you have received or bring back a loved one that has passed away due to substandard care, but we can help ease some of the financial burdens by obtaining compensation, access cancer specialists for treatment advice, investigate the claim to help you understand what happened, hold individual clinicians to account and raise standards so that no one else has to go through what has happened to you.
